David Agus has created a list of rules to follow if you want to live a long and healthy life:
1. Caffeine – Coffee or tea is drunk once or twice a day. However, the complete rejection of this stimulant is more harmful than useful because caffeine is an excellent stimulant to the nervous system and is extremely beneficial in small doses.
2. Smile – The smile itself, even for no reason, drives the body to release endorphins and serotonin in the brain – hormones that are the best “painkiller” for everyday stress.
3. Avoid strenuous workouts – a 15-minute load is enough for the body to increase its pulse by 50 percent of its usual rhythm. You can do this by going up the stairs to your office.
4. Track the number of heartbeats, physical activity and pressure.
5. Fish Days – Consume at least three fish meals a week, and it is best to consume red fish: salmon, herring or trout.
6. Drink a glass of red wine for dinner – wine is a good prevention for cardiovascular and blood vessel diseases.
7. Consume magnesium and fish oil – they are a great prevention of stroke and heart attack.
8. Don’t forget to have breakfast!
