Functional natural remedies for influenza

influenza

In addition to the remedies recommended for influenza, a good defense is the variety of herbs, supplements and foods that strengthen the immune system. Here are some of them that work in the fight against influenza.

1) Foods high in vitamin C

Studies show that high doses of vitamin C after the flu symptoms can reduce them by 85%. So if you start to feel these symptoms, take in not only vitamin C-rich beverages as they contain a lot of sugar, but also vegetables such as broccoli and prawns. Supplementation with up to 4000 milligrams of vitamin C daily is desirable.

2) Vitamin D

This vitamin regulates the expression of over 2000 genes, including those of the immune system, found in food and naturally synthesized by the body when exposed to sunlight. Foods high in vitamin D are fatty fish such as tuna, mackerel and salmon, dairy products and egg yolk.

3) Ginger

Recent studies have shown that ginger reduces pain and inflammation, so it is recommended to add ginger to foods or teas and home-made juices.
