These vegetables are not only rich in dietary fiber that speeds up digestion but are also good sources of phytonutrients that can reduce the risk of cancer.
In a recent study published by The American Journal of Chinese Medicine, researchers at the Chinese Medical University in Taiwan investigated the anticancer activities of sulforafan that are abundantly present in broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower. They found it to be an effective anti-cancer drug that can stop the cell cycle and apoptosis of cancer cells.
